Scheduling and paying for guitar lessons is easy!
You can pay lesson-to-lesson or choose a monthly plan for lower rates…
We try our best to accommodate the needs of all types of students by offering various price points for various levels of commitment and scheduling flexibility. We also protect our teachers from scheduling abuse and try to ensure they can make a sustainable living for their efforts as teachers. Please keep this in mind!
All of our teachers at GLP offer payment options based on the 3 “plans” listed below. Actual $ amounts for these plans are listed at the bottom of each teacher’s personal page (located under the “Locations” tab above). Most GLP teachers accept Venmo, Cash App, cash, and sometimes checks. On monthly plans, some teachers require auto pay via the CoinHop App.

Confused? Let us explain.
Our teachers are committed to making a sustainable living as both musicians and educators. Without consistent monthly income, this would not be possible.
Therefore, we’ve priced lessons accordingly where the sweet spot is 4 lessons per month. This model provides the most opportunity for students to consistently progress and reach their goals. It simultaneously allows teachers to commit/block out time for teaching month after month. If students were able to cancel all the time and not pre-pay for lessons, teachers would have to quit and settle for other jobs.
That being said, we do offer an à la carte payment plan for students who cannot commit to 3 or more lessons per month. Students on this “à la carte” plan will pay extra for the added flexibility but if cancelled within 48 hours, students are expected to honor the cancellation fee ($15). Our teachers will always try to be as understanding as possible, but please support their living and respect their time. It is greatly appreciated!
Cancellation Fees +
On the “à la carte” payment plan, students will pay a fee of $15 for lessons cancelled within 48 hours, unless it is due to severe weather or a true emergency. This fee replaces the standard rate and is a very reasonable cost for taking up a teachers slot that could have been used for another student. Please honor this or your teacher may get frustrated and has the right to refuse lessons!
Make-Up Lessons +
Any student on the "4 Monthly Plan" will have one free make-up lesson credit per month. This must be redeemed within 14 days and is based on the teacher’s schedule and availability. If the teacher is too busy or if the times he/she offers for the make-up don’t work for the student, then unfortunately the lesson is lost and there is no refund. We try to be as flexible as possible, but as teachers get booked up with students, make-up lessons can become very challenging to fit in. Please show up at your scheduled lesson time as much as possible! Teachers will do their best to accommodate make-ups but they are NOT GUARANTEED.
Rescheduling Lessons +
Rescheduled lessons must be redeemed within 14 days of the original lesson. Lessons missed or rescheduled do not count as “rollover credit” to reduce the cost of the next month’s plan. They can simply be redeemed in addition to whatever plan you choose for the next month. Again, this is all based upon a teacher’s availability and as their schedules become booked, rescheduling lessons is not always possible. Please do your best to show up for lessons at the designated time. But if you need to reschedule, your teacher will do their best to accommodate (it's just NOT GUARANTEED). Juggling 20, 30, and sometimes 40 schedules is no easy task for our teachers. Please respect this fact and keep it in mind when cancelling or rescheduling. Thank you!
"Add-On" Lessons +
If a student on a monthly plan chooses to add on a 4th or 5th lesson for that month, the payment is due at the time of booking. So if you are halfway through the month and decide that you will have time later in the month to take that extra lesson, you must pre-pay the teacher in order to book that slot. Again, this is to help protect teachers from scheduling abuse. Thank you for understanding!
